Scholarships

The Frances Failing Scholarship is offered annually to individuals seeking post-secondary education. Established by one of the chapter’s charter members, the Frances Failing Scholarship encourages education as one of the Society’s guiding principles.

The Frances Failing scholarships are awarded and judged without regard to gender, race, color, religion, national origin, or disability.

  • Applicants must be citizens of the United States.
  • Applicants must attend or plan to attend an accredited college, university or post-secondary school in the United States.
  • Awards are based on academic excellence, community involvement, and/or financial need,
  • Awards are placed on deposit with the recipient’s college or university and any unused portion shall be returned to the DAR.
